This anime is about a boy who was inspired to become a pirate by his childhood friend, Shank. He accidently ate a forbidden fruit called the "gomu gomu" fruit and inherited the devil's power. He inherited the power to be a rubber human. He set off to the sea when he was only 17, and his dream was to be a pirate king ( to be the whealtiest and famous pirate). This is a story of his adventure, finding the most valuable treasure, One Piece.
