CITY HUNTER, a popular anime and manga, somewhat in the vein of MAGNUM P.I., follows the exploits of the enigmatic Joe and his tomboyish partner Kaori. Here, the two are hired to protect the daughter of a Third World nation's presidential candidate. The girl, a secret service agent herself, helps Joe and Kaori piece together the plot against the candidate. leading them through a labyrinth of corruption that none involved imagined existed.
